‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2 spoilers: The blue alien and the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ connection

Agents of SHIELD -If there is one thing that we can tell you right now about Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD,” it is really the same exact thing that we’ve told you before about this show and everything else within the Marvel universe: It’s all connected!

Therefore, can you really be that surprised that the blue alien on the show’s second season is turning out to be a member of the Kree? This is the same alien race that Lee Pace’s character in “Guardians of the Galaxy” is a part of, and while its blood managed to save Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), we’ve definitely seen the consequences.

So what comes from here with this revelation is interesting to us, but the SHIELD team is going to remain by and large as clueless as they were before. This is at least per what executive producer Jeffrey Bell had to say on the subject to TV Guide:

“Our people don’t know anything about the Kree or that there’s a planet full of them … What they do know is that the strange carvings created by Coulson after he was injected with the Kree serum are actually the map of a city, and they need to find that city before Hydra does. But where is it? Here or on another planet?”

So basically, there are two separate dilemmas that the SHIELD team must face: Trying to further their understanding about their discovery, but at the same time trying to also figure out how to keep Hydra from destroying them. They are going to have their hands full over the final two episodes of the season, which begin a week from Tuesday.
