‘Mike & Molly’ season 5 set to replace ‘The Millers’ Monday nights on CBS

CBS -CBS is not exactly in the mood to waste time when it comes to finding a replacement for “The Millers” following its swift cancellation; they’ve found a new show to take its place in a very short amount of time.

On Monday, December 8, the fifth season of “Mike & Molly” will be premiering at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time, where it will lead into “Scorpion” and have a very bizarre promotional platform. It is not going to have a ton of time for promotion, and the majority of the other comedies on CBS will be starting to get into their repeat cycles.

There are many theories that you could have when it comes to this, but one interesting thing here is that the network does not seem to be as interested as they really should be in promoting a show with Melissa McCarthy as its lead. She is one of the biggest stars out there right now in comedy, and they still have her; however, they don’t really like they really want to invest all of the necessary time into letting other people know that they do. We don’t particularly understand the move, and we probably never will. Then again, it is somewhat silly to really spend much time investing in the inner workings of the mysterious entity known as CBS.

The biggest thing to consider / remember here is that the network does have a pretty crammed comedy roster right now, and the next one that we’d say could be in danger is new entry “The McCarthys.” While we were not necessarily envisioning it as a smash hit after “Two and a Half Men,” we thought it would do a little bit better than this.
