‘Top Chef: Boston’ episode 5 preview: The chefs battle it out head-to-head

Top Chef -So far, “Top Chef Boston” has made some significant strides in bringing the once-amazing competition back to what it should be, and they have made a number of specific moves in order to ensure that this happens.

One thing that they’ve done is reduce some of the obvious product placement, and focused more on giving the chefs unique challenges that really test them. We’ve seen on a few instances this season already the contestants having to work together, and on tonight’s new episode, they will have to battle one another head to head.

In the preview video below, you can see specifically a small taste of what we are talking about here as the remaining contestants try to duke it out in a culinary competition that seems to have a Revolutionary War theme to it. It’s a little cheesy, but also appropriate to really honor what the history of this great part of the country is.

One other thing we’re interested in figuring out right now is if there are a few other significant threats who are going to rise to the table. At the moment, the competition admittedly feels a little like a two-person race between Gregory and Mei, and they need to have another threat or to in order to really make this season interesting.

On the flip side, there are a few other chefs who may be in constant danger until they go home. Katsuji is one of those, given that he was bailed out in the past elimination challenge courtesy of having immunity.
