NBC’s ‘The Voice’ spoilers: What Luke Wade, Ryan Sill, Sugar Joans, Jean Kelley will sing tonight
Tonight, the second half of the live playoffs are going to air on “The Voice,” and we’re once again here with an inside look on one simple subject: What all the contestants are going to be performing tonight.
Once again, we find ourselves with a pretty eclectic list of performances … with the exception being Sam Smith. We love some Sam, but we don’t need the entire show to be a tribute to the guy. We also had a performance of one of his tracks last night.
Anyway, onto the choices. We’re going to divide these up by team. This list is via iTunes, but compiled via Mjsbigblog.
Bryana Salaz, “Amnesia” – Good choice to appeal to the teenagers out there with a 5 Seconds of Summer song.
Ryan Sill, “I Lived” – We actually don’t know this OneRepublic song, which is rare for the ones on the show.
Ricky Manning, “Lay Me Down” – It’s Sam Smith. We also barely remember Ricky.
Taylor John Williams, “Stuck in the Middle” – Hopefully, this is just as excellent of an oldie remake as what Craig Wayne Boyd did last night.
Antia Antoinette, “All About That Bass” – Meghan Trainor is a current pop-culture darling, so we cannot be that shocked to seethis song featured prominently on the show.
Team Pharrell
DaNica Shirey, “Help Me” – Good choice for DaNica. Not exactly current, but still good.
Elyjuh Rene, “Latch” – Technically, this is a Disclosure song featuring Sam. We can’t hate on the choice here, though; Rene should kill this.
Jean Kelley, “Piano in the Dark” – We like that either Pharrell or Jean is thinking a little bit out of the box here. It makes the next two choices easier to swallow.
Sugar Joans, “Say a Little Prayer” – We guess people will know the song, but Sugar would be better doing something a little less obvious.
Luke Wade, “Let’s Get It On” – Ugh. This song almost always sounds creepy when done on a singing show.
