‘NCIS’ season 12 spoilers: First look at Mark Harmon in ‘Semper Fortis’
Is there anyone in the known universe who enjoys breakfast in the way that Agent Gibbs on “NCIS” does? We figure that next to maybe Walt Jr. on “Breaking Bad,” nobody really gives him a run for his money.
The trail of important scenes that have taken place in this diner is rather long, but this photo, from the upcoming episode “Semper Fortis” (which airs on CBS Tuesday, November 18) is really rather simple. Maybe Mark Harmon’s character is lost in thought, or maybe he is just enjoying a quiet opportunity to read the paper and eat some delicious food.
Maybe Gibbs is thinking about the difficult situation that is going to lie in front of him during this episode. What he is ultimately going to be up against here is a pretty tricky, delicate situation. A Navy Hospital Corpsman is going to be arrested for providing unlicensed medical care to those who desperately needed it, and he has to figure out how to keep her from really landing in hot water. Gibbs is a smart guy and a resourceful guy, but sometimes, there are missions that are too complicated for him to handle on his own.
Luckily, he’s got a heck of a good team behind him, as well, and we’re sure that some of them are going to show up and play an important role in the proceedings long before this episode comes to a close.
If this episode doesn’t do it for you, just remember there are also some other big Gibbs stories coming up on the show, including an opportunity to see Jeri Ryan playing one of his famous exes.

Why do NCIS spoiler titles mention only Mark Harmon these days? Is there really any point to the rest of the team at this point besides being on hand to gawk in awe at Gibbs or receive his sage advise? The show has blatantly become the – all about the dangers, nobility, and dramas of super Gibbs – now. Is there something in the actors’ contracts that requires Harmon to get all publicity, drama, and be the only key player in all story arcs and prohibits any other actors (and especially Michael Weatherly) from getting any character flattery? It seems pretty obvious giving Tony anything remotely exciting or flattering is off limits. Weatherly is the main reason I bother to watch this incredibly disappointing super Gibbs, insignificant Tony formula. I’ve given up any hope that Tony will ever get any exciting stories ever again. Anything the least bit compelling has to feature Gibbs now. What a bore.
