‘Doctor Who’ season 8: A tiny Christmas Special tease from Jenna Coleman

Doctor Who -It is never too early to start teasing the “Doctor Who” Christmas Special, right? Even though we may be many weeks from this one coming on the air, it does at least still feel like it is around the bend quickly enough to be a conversation topic.

Of course, you will probably have to wait until after this weekend’s “Death in Heaven” airs before anyone chooses to give away much about the current state of the Doctor or Clara in the wake of the Master arriving. Obviously, the show will go on, and we know that largely because of the sole fact that the BBC wants to go about making some more shows.

Jenna Coleman did give a recent interview with the British InStyle, and during it she did at least hand down a few specifics about what this tale could be all about. Also, you are getting a very-memorable guest star to boot for all of those who love movies like “Hot Fuzz”:

“It’s written in sections and it’s about dreaming – what is real and what is not. Also Father Christmas is there – played by Nick Frost!”

There was speculation at one point about whether or not this could be Coleman’s final show as Clara Oswald, but there has not been a whole lot of discussion on that subject recently. Ultimately, we will say that if she does end up saying goodbye to the series, hats off to the BBC for keeping one of the best secrets fathomable. We won’t quite know how they pulled it off.

For now, we suggest that you just head over here to see some other “Doctor Who” coverage leading into the big finale. Also, sign up today in the event you want even more coverage transported right to your email via our official CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo via BBC.)
