‘Two and a Half Men’ season 12, episode 2 review: How was Walden and Alan’s wedding?

Two and a Half Men -Tonight, “Two and a Half Men” aired one of the biggest episodes of its entire run with Alan and Walden’s wedding, and it was one that did actually have some meaningful moments during it.

For example, Alan actually decided to sign a prenuptial agreement so that Walden wouldn’t be afraid about his finances. Meanwhile, Walden decided to give Alan a welcome surprise, as well, in the form of Michael Bolton! Bolton seemed to be in on the joke, and even sang on more than one occasion.

Also, there was some genuine comedy that was thrown in there, as well, at least in the midst of the typical “Two and a Half Men” obnoxiousness. Jenny finally had something to do, as did most of the other supporting characters.

We realize that there are going to be those who thought that this episode was offensive; as a matter of fact, there could even be a public outcry. Still, it was more of a spoof on marriage in general than gay marriage, and there wasn’t anything bad sad in here about the LGBT community. We do hope that others get that the show is an equal-opportunity offender. It may not be high art by any means, but it knows what it is doing and it does it, for the most part, very well.

The only that we wish is that there were some more guest stars from past seasons who decided to show up. With this show being 12 years long at this point, we do want it to continue to pay tribute to some of these people, and how far it has come … even if the show now is very different. Episode Grade: B-.
