ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4, episode 7 preview: Fitz, Olivia celebrate their ‘hope’

What is coming up on Thursday night’s new “Scandal” episode? Well, it looks like (once again) the focus is going to be very much on Olivia Pope, and her attempts to ensure that Jake Ballard is not being treated like a sack of garbage while inside of a cell.

As the new sneak-peek video gives away, Kerry Washington’s character is almost using Fitz in order to get whatever she wants, and in this case, that “whatever she wants” is figuring out a way in which to ensure that she can have her boyfriend taken care of behind bars. We don’t entirely think that she is asking for anything that is incredibly unreasonable here. Instead, all she is really saying is that she wants to ensure that he gets the proper food and is cared for in the way in which he should, while in a dangerous prison.

Since Fitz told her that there was hope for the two of them, she claims that this ultimately is a way in which to prove that he really is standing behind what he says. Unfortunately, we’re not really getting a whole lot of evidence of that just yet. Maybe that will change a little bit over time, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Remember here that things can change very quickly within the span of an episode, and there are also still many episodes left to go.
