‘Gotham’ spoilers: Meet Detective Delaware

Sometimes, you don’t really have an opportunity to get to know a lot about a character before they turn up on the show, but in the case of this “Gotham” story, you may actually be getting to know more than you really wanted to about a certain Detective Delaware.

What do we know about this man at present? Let’s start with this. According to E! News, this is a man who, per their words, is a “gangly man with a face like a meatball sub.” If that is not shockingly specific, then we have no real idea what is. What we also know know about him is that he is extremely confident, really to the point of being cocky, and he is going to cause a ton of problems over at the Gotham City Police Department.

While the show is looking to bring some people onto “Gotham” with more connections to the Batman comics, this does not appear to be one of them. You are going to have to get your fill of that with the recently-arrived Victor Zsasz, and also the soon-to-appear character who will further along the Scarecrow origin story. You will see the youngster who will eventually become the villain, but also the father who seemingly occupies the role at present.

Given that there is still over half a season of “Gotham” to go, we’re going to have so much more in the way of news soon. Stay tuned.
