‘Gotham’ episode 7 preview: Ben McKenzie, Robin Lord Taylor on Oswald’s big reveal

Last week, “Gotham” aired a new episode that could certainly be described as momentous, and there is one simple reason for that: Oswald Cobblepot has made it more than a little bit clear now that he is alive. Him walking into GCPD saved the hide of Jim Gordon and Harvey Bullock when it comes to going into prison, and at the same time, it allowed him to proclaim to the masses that he was not going to be going into hiding anytime soon.

In the video below, some of the cast describes how important this moment was. Ben McKenzie comments that it was huge for Gordon, but he has to realize the implications that come with that since he has lied to almost everyone. Donal Logue comments that this opens up a huge divide between Bullock and his partner, since this was a part of the trust that the two had in each other.

Meanwhile, Robin Lord Taylor talks a little about how Oswald is going to use this reveal to establish more power for himself in Gotham, even though he is making many enemies in the process by returning. He will specifically have to worry about Fish Mooney, who already considers him to be quite the traitor to the cause.

In the end, though, there is really no reason to worry about the Penguin for a little while. After all, just remember who he ends up becoming in the days of Batman’s prominence.
