The marketing team over at The CW tend to prove themselves to be rather smart many times over. They’ll give you a short promo for some of their shows immediately after the episode airs, but then give you something a little longer a couple of days later to really sink your teeth into.
This longer “Arrow” promo below for “The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak” gives you a little more information into what Emily Bett Rickards’ character is up to. This feels like maybe the second time (with the Clock King being the first) that there was a central villain that was really targeted towards her more so than any other character, but the even trickier thing about this particular episode is that it is a case where Felicity’s own past is coming back to haunt her. This includes the photo above, since you’re going to see more of her goth history while at MIT.
Of course, at some point during this episode you are also going to meet Felicity’s mother, played on the show by Charlotte Ross. She is going to be turning up in the present, and based on what we know about the character right now, she could not be any more different from her daughter. She works as a cocktail waitress, and there is a long time in which Felicity thought that she was going to turn into that, as well.
Since there are so many different fans of the Felicity character out there already, we know that anticipation is going to be high for this story. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens in the end.
