‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8, episode 8 preview: Sheldon, Amy, and a prom do-over

While the timing of a “Big Bang Theory” prom episode right now may be a little bit odd, we at the same time do understand the reasoning behind some of the characters wanting to go in this particular direction right now. Just think about it for a minute. Out of everyone that is invited to this particular event, maybe Penny and Emily had good experiences in high school. We know that more or less, everyone else did not.

The promo below is your first longer look at this episode, which is hopefully going to be plenty of fun. If nothing else, it’s at least a showcase of nerdy high fashion along with what grown women would choose to wear for their prom if they could go back in time.

This may be the first time that we’ve seen the show’s rooftop set since the wedding of Howard and Bernadette, which is also the first time we had a sort-of glimpse of Howard’s mother on the show.

While we are curious about the origins of the story, it is a pretty good use of the fact that all of the characters actually have real love interests on the show at the same time. Since Raj’s relationship with Lucy was constantly rocky, this is the first real opportunity that we’ve had to see everyone in committed relationships.

Plus, we have a great chance here to see Stuart showing up at the event with Howard’s cousin, which is almost sure to infuriate him. It’s hard not to get behind that as quality entertainment.
