‘The Originals’ season 2: Nathaniel Buzolic’s Kol to star in solo web series

Originals -Let us hope that you have not seen enough of Kol yet on “The Originals.” After all, The CW is making an effort to show you so much more of this story clear. They’re just doing it in a different form than usual.

The network is set to, starting on October 10, debut a web series entitled “Originals: Awakening,” which is going to very much revolve around the character of Kol, played by Nathaniel Buzolic. This is not the present Kol, who is trapped within the body of Daniel Sharman.

The former “Vampire Diaries” guest star certainly seems to be excited about the gig, telling E! News that he is “excited for fans to see a little more of Kol, the most misunderstood member of the Mikaelson family.” Meanwhile, Carina MacKenzie, who is a writer on the show and is tasked with this series, said the following:

“When we found out we were going to get to do a web series, I immediately thought of Kol—because his mischief has always been part of the fabric of the city. We know from The Vampire Diaries that Kol has a history with the witches of New Orleans, and we’ve kept that in mind since the very beginning of The Originals … In the web series fans will get to see how some events of last season can actually be traced back to Kol, and we’ll reveal some clues as to his current agenda with Davina. Thanks to some body-swapping hijinks, we’ve got Daniel Sharman playing the character on the show now, but we’re always super excited when we can bring Nathaniel Buzolic in for flashbacks. I had a great time working with him— he’s hilarious, and just steps right back into Kol so brilliantly. And he’s a really, really good sport about getting positively drenched in fake blood.”

This series is designed to give you many answers about this character, and in the process should also allow you to better figure out why in the world there is so much opposition between him and his family in the first place.
