‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ episode 4: How long is ‘Edward Mordrake: Part II’?
There are many advantages and disadvantages that come with running your episodes longer than the standard run time. For example, a plus is that you get more content! However, this can come at the expense of your programming guides, and can leave you completely confused about when things are actually on that you want to watch.
Well, we are here tonight to at least answer some burning questions when it comes to the length of Wednesday’s new “American Horror Story: Freak Show” episode. The first thing to note here is that it’s actually the shortest episode of the season so far! With that being said, it is still running for more than an hour.
Based on our current information (which could in theory change), “Edward Mordrake (Part II)” is going to run for 64 minutes. Therefore, make sure you set your DVR accordingly if the programming guide isn’t already picking that one up properly. The last thing that you want to do is miss a part of the story at the end!
We don’t necessarily feel like shorter episodes is going to be a trend moving forward; as a matter of fact, we’d be shocked if there are not another couple episodes this season that inch closer to that 90-minute run time again like we saw with the premiere. FX lets the content creators do more of what they want, and with the ratings being what they are, there’s no real reason for that to change. “Sons of Anarchy” created the mold with that, and it is easy for other shows to run with it.
