‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2, episode 6 preview: Sheriff Corbin’s son on the scene

So far this season, “Sleepy Hollow” has come up with a variety of unique ways in order to introduce us to familiar faces from Abbie’s past.

The latest way in which they are doing this? Introducing the character of Joe Corbin. He is the son of the late Sheriff Corbin, who both Abbie and her sister Jenny had a unique history with. Joe, meanwhile, is a little bit differently. He is someone who Abbie at one point looked after; however, times have clearly changed over the years. She has a position of authority now, whereas he is a ruffian stirring up trouble in a bar.

Nicole Beharie’s character and Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) are having a drink themselves when they see Joe causing a little bit of trouble in the sneak peek video below, and of course she decides to step in and intervenes. Based on the way in which he says “Sheriff Mills,” we imagine that he is not altogether pleased with the job that she has chosen to take on in her adult life.

There is not too much else given away in this particular preview, but we hope that it does potentially set the stage for a storyline where we use Joe to learn more about his father, who was for the longest time the foremost expert on all things supernatural in Sleepy Hollow prior to the arrival of Ichabod back in the pilot. Jenny was his star pupil when it comes to matters of the mysterious, while Abbie was the one with the badge.
