‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11, episode 6 preview: Derek presses Meredith over Maggie
Given that Maggie is going to be around for a long time on “Grey’s Anatomy” season 11, don’t you think that it is time that she felt more at home with the Grey family?
If nothing else, one person certainly thinks so, and that person is Derek. After witnessing her call her own sister “Dr. Grey,” Patrick Dempsey’s character makes it clear to his wife that they should really have her over for dinner. After all, he says that this is “what people do.”
We know already that Maggie and Meredith have a long ways to go before they consider themselves sisters or really even friends. Things were tense at first, and they were not any better even when the picture about who Maggie was started to become a little clearer. Meredith simply did not want to believe that it could be possible.
In this sneak peek, we also learn that Maggie is an extremely quick reader when it comes to Ellis’ journals. She went through them very quickly! Unfortunately for her, in the process she also got an up-close-and-personal look as to why Meredith is so distant from her mother in many ways, and that has to do with the very-medical nature of these.
Hopefully, these end of this episode will give some hope that these two characters can learn to get a long, and maybe have a tight bond when we get a little closer to the end of the season. However, we see this as more of a marathon than a sprint.
