‘Two and a Half Men’ season 12 premiere video: See Ashton Kutcher’s Walden in a rut

Thursday night is the season premiere for “Two and a Half Men,” and there’s really not a whole lot of work that needs to be done to set you up on where the show is going: Walden is thinking about making changes, and Alan will sort-of be there to help him out … at least so long as it doesn’t lead to him being inconvenienced in any way.

The sneak peek below gives you some insight into that, at least in that Ashton Kutcher’s character wants to take care of a child, but is not exactly sure how to do it right now. He hasn’t found the right woman, but he doesn’t want to wait for one anymore. Of course, at first Alan is worried, but not as much when he realizes that whatever happens here is not going to cause any substantial problems when it comes to him own living situation.

We already have the benefit of knowing where this is going, at least in that Alan and Walden are going to each decide to get married (ironically a joke played on last season), and then use this in order to really get a process of adopting a child together going.

One thing that we are curious about is seeing just what sort of role Alan would have with the kid in the end. He has experienced fatherhood before, but given that we have not seen Jake onscreen in over a year now, we’re not sure that we ever will.
