‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 spoilers: Minor Gwendoline Christie, Sophie Turner teases

Production of “Game of Thrones” season 5 has been going strong for some time all around the world, but for the most part, Northern Ireland is the series’ primary home base. The majority of the interior footage is filmed here, and a good bit of the standard terrain is, as well.

Two characters who are likely to spend plenty of time in this region moving forward are Sansa and Brienne, at least based on how the two closed things off in season 4. The former took on a Sith Lord-esque persona to keep herself safe from Littlefinger, whereas Brienne is mostly reeling from beating the tar out of the Hound in one of the show’s most-brutal scenes that we have seen to date.

Well, according to the show’s official Making of Game of Thrones blog, both Gwendoline Christie and Sophie Turner were filming scenes recently, even though it was not entirely made clear that they were filming in Northern Ireland. (Based on what we know, though, that is closely confirmed.) You shouldn’t expect either party to stray too much from who they are, even though they will continue to do an exemplary job trying to do what they each can to survive.

The problem for Brienne is going to be a simple one now: Trying to figure out where in the world Arya Stark has gone now. The last we saw her, she was boarding a ship … and you don’t have to be an expert book reader to know that she is most likely getting away from the world that she has become familiar with.
