‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16, episode 5 preview: When a modeling job goes south

Law & Order: SVU logoTypically when it comes to “Law & Order: SVU,” you can manage to piece together what is going on with a given case based on an official synopsis. For next week’s installment, there are still some mysteries even after reading what is coming up.

Where can you check out the details? You don’t have to look any further than the official synopsis below:

“Evie Barnes (guest star Hannah Marks) answers a modeling ad hoping to make some cash for tuition, but the job quickly spirals into online pornography. When her classmates discover her double life, they cross the boundary between fiction and reality. Even though she’s not the one on trial, Evie is forced to prove her innocence in court.”

Story-wise, there is not a whole lot in here that necessarily surprises us when it comes to the stories that we have seen on the show over the years. The biggest surprise for now is that there isn’t a mention of a single series regular in the entire synopsis. Therefore, it really doesn’t give us a whole lot of anything to go on here. All we have to do right now is figure out just what will happen with some of the recurring stories.

Tonight’s episode started the arc of Peter Gallagher on the show as a Chief who is going to be at odds with Benson over a variety of things, from the balance in her life to whether or not she is fit to continue. That could continue for a while.
