‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16: Where to watch Mariska Hargitay, more at PlayFest
While Wednesday is typically the night to take in all things “Law & Order: SVU,” you are going to get an opportunity to change things up a little bit come Monday. What’s the reason for that? It’s all thanks to a little something known as PaleyFest, where series star Mariska Hargitay will be in attendance for a panel in New York.
Who will be joining the series’ star? For the time being, the panel is expected to include creator Dick Wolf, executive producers Warren Leight and Julie Martin, and stars Danny Pino, Raúl Esparza, Ice-T, Peter Scanavino, and Kelli Giddish. The event, per PaleyFest’s website on Yahoo Screen (where you can also stream it live), will start on Monday at around 7:45 p.m. Eastern time.
There is plenty for the cast and crew to discuss at the event this year, starting with some of the stories this year. Pino’s Amaro has been through a heck of a journey as of late, Scanavino is still new to the series, and the big change for Benson is still present in the form of Baby Noah.
There are also going to be most-likely some of the inevitable questions about the show’s future. This is what happens when your series first started in a different millennium. We feel, ultimately, like it will last as long as the ratings are consistent, and the cast and crew still want to do it. We just hope that if it does end at some point, the writers at least have a chance to write a fitting end. We’re still left with a bad taste over the end of the original series.

Not as predictable as the writer might think. All the contracts of the stars are up(Mariska Hargitay works on a year to year) and Kelli Giddish, Danny Pino and Ice-T will certainly be seeking raises. I would guess that Kelli and Danny aren’t making more than $100,000 an episode, while other networks have signed people to their shows for much higher amounts. Kelli and Danny will have 4 seasons under their belt after this one. Ice-T will have 15. The NBC strategy for keeping this show going leaves a lot to be desired. Finding a way to keep Donal Logue from leaving to be in GOTHAM would have been tremendous. I haven’t heard anything about how that situation went down. I would guess(and it is a guess) that Mariska is pressuring NBC into bringing back Chris Meloni. If you add that in with the contract situations for everyone else, things could get a bit sticky.

Nobody knows how the other actors earn SVU. We only know of Mariska, you deserve what you get. Everything else is speculation. And if Chris Meloni return, the series that this season is going very well, it gets even better. Also anyone know if Mariska is pressing the direction of the show. This is speculation.

I actually met someone who knows a little about the contract situations of the other people. If you read other articles over the past year, you would know exactly what I know(especially that the contracts of the other people are up after this season). Yes, the situation with Chris Meloni is just speculation, BUT I WROTE THAT! You need to read more articles about the show instead of reading one and being completely uninformed.
