‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: Michael Jai White on possible Suicide Squad return

Arrow -Right now, we are somewhat curious and nervous on the future of the Suicide Squad on “Arrow.” Due to the ever-increasing buzz about there being a movie on the group, this could leave the TV show version somewhat out in the cold … at least if DC is deathly serious about separating all of their different properties. We hope that’s not the case, especially since that would further challenge the ability to get Harley Quinn on the show.

Speaking to IGN while at New York Comic-Con, Michael Jai White (who plays squad member Bronze Tiger) was somewhat coy about the return of the group this season, but said that he would very much like to come back. Personally, we feel like this almost has to happen, mostly because Deadshot is also still around in this world. Given his ties to John Diggle, how do you not revisit this storyline? At this point, Bronze Tiger and Deadshot almost go hand in hand given they are both part of the same group.

Also, more evidence! Amanda Waller is obviously a huge part of the story right now due to Hong Kong, and Diggle and Lyla have welcomed a child. All of this to us is a perfect suggestion that this group is going to stay a valuable part of this world for a while longer. Now, the issue comes in just finding a tremendous story for them to be a part of.

Recently, we touted our hopes to see a spin-off show specifically about Harley Quinn, but we would also be fine if there was a Suicide Squad show instead that mostly focused on Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, her, and maybe some other characters sprinkled in. If nothing else, it would be different than most other superhero shows on the air.

Stay tuned; we’ll have more on the Squad as the news starts to come out. Also, be sure to sign up if you want to snag some other TV updates on everything we cover at CarterMatt in your email inbox. (Photo via The CW.)
