‘Shark Tank’ review: Reviver, Funcakes Rental, Paper Box Pilots, and Table Jacks

Shark Tank -Tonight, “Shark Tank” aired an episode full of interesting products, especially when it comes to home improvement and projects. Would we buy any of these? Probably not, but we feel like a few people out there will.

As always with all of the products below, we’ve attached links so that you can check out the websites to see more for yourselves. Also, check back throughout the episode tonight for more.

Funcakes Rental – This is one of those products that in theory, should work. Wedding cakes are expensive! However, we have a feeling that the majority of people would rather go into debt than have a fake cake at their wedding. Plus, this isn’t that original; we’ve heard about these for many years now. No deal.

Paper Box Pilots – This is a product stuffed full of advantages and disadvantages. What we like about the product is that the entrepreneur is young, and this seemed to stem from real imagination. The problems we run into here are that there are no boxes that come along with this, and also that we still have a hard time guessing that people go out and try to prepare for fun with a box. It’s more of a spontaneous thing.

While Kevin O’Leary made the harshest offer ($35,000 for 50%), we would’ve went with him based on his experience in the toy company. Surprisingly, the young entrepreneur agreed! This is a move that will actually benefit them more in the long-term, even if it came at a higher price in the short-term. Deal with Kevin.

Table Jacks – We actually do think that this is a pretty good invention for fixing uneven tables. This can be incredibly annoying. However, the problem here is just like the sharks said. There is not a big market out there for this, and for most people, they’ll probably just deal either with a busted table, or save up and buy a new one. No deal.

Reviver – Mark Cuban seemed to be very angry about these guys calling this a technology; we’re more curious why they are even there, given that their father apparently founded GameStop. This feels mostly like they just need attention for their product, and we didn’t feel like they were going to take any deal halfway in because of that.

With that being said, they did go with Lori once she made an offer, which was completely predictable and something that we also very much expected that they would do. It’s also the right move. This will be a QVC monster. Went with Lori.
