‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: Is a Tom Keen return inevitable?
We have been saying this for a while now, and we’re holding true to it: Tom Keen is not done with “The Blacklist.” Even though it was a dream sequence, his return in this past episode should be a sign that Ryan Eggold is not done with this show.
So when will Tom return in the present? Per Entertainment Weekly, the word that you are looking for here is “soon.” Tom still has a story left to tell, and we are very much looking forward to learning a little more about what this story is going to be.
There are a myriad of different possibilities out there for the character … at least for the time being. For example, at the top of our wishlist is seeing him starting to pull Liz and company back in again if possible, mostly because we want to see how he can continue to navigate in the gray area. If we were to see him consistently in full-on bad guy mode, the odds are the he really would be killed soon. The challenge for this character is balance, and finding a way to make him come across as realistic as he possibly can while being a part of this world.
The report also mentions that there may be a time this season when Reddington and Berlin are forced to actually work together, and with that, we have to raise the following question: Is Tom going to be a reason why?
