‘Suits’ season 4 spoilers: The latest filming (and writing) updates

Even though we don’t often get a chance to share many extensive updates related to “Suits” during its off-season, it is still nice to have a few assorted updates here and there … which is precisely what this article is all about.

For those wondering where the show is in writing its fourth season, creator Aaron Korsh on Twitter claims that the team just finished 4×14 (written by Justin Peacock and Kyle Long), which happens to be the upcoming episode directed by star Patrick J. Adams. It will start filming in the weeks ahead, and this marks a good chance for the actor to show off a different side of himself. His co-star Gabriel Macht has also directed one of the “back six” episodes coming up.

There’s also something worth noting when it comes to guest stars. Out of the five characters listed here (Hardman, Scottie, Jenny, Tanner, and Trevor), at least two of them are going to be appearing in the second part of the season. However, Korsh also said that we won’t be seeing all of them, so it’s a number between two and four. We would personally bank on Scottie as the most-likely candidate, since her history with Harvey leads to all sorts of interesting possibilities for her to be included in what is going on around her.

Season 4 will finish filming this fall, and while there is no precise return date right now, Korsh’s guess is January. We do hope this is true this year and not March, since we really do not understand the show having a longer hiatus between half-seasons than actual seasons. This is what we saw for season 3.
