‘The Amazing Race 25’ preview: Phil Keoghan, more look ahead to premiere

Amazing Race -For us, it feels almost like “The Amazing Race” never really left this summer, but one of the biggest reasons for that may just be thanks to the international versions leaving such an imprint. The Australian and Canadian versions of the show were great, and in many ways, they have raised the bar from what we expect from the original version.

If you listen to host Phil Keoghan and executive producer Bertram van Munster preview the stories that are coming up, then you will think that this really is just as good of a season as every one that has come before it. There are some new locations, including some particularly remote ones, and there are also some new, energetic, and very fun teams.

As for one other “twist,” the fans are going to be present at Times Square when the show kicks off the new season! We were worried that this in some way was going to ruin the entire spoiler-free environment, given that everyone would know what the teams looked like and could follow them around the world easily. Luckily, that hasn’t really happened. If there are any spoilers out there, the community has been kind enough to keep them to themselves.

We really just hope that this is a big improvement over that disappointing All-Stars outing, which was ruined in part by Dave complaining about being old and constant questions about integrity and whatnot. This is a game! Have fun with it.
