Is there any way at this point that Derrick does not make it to the final two on “Big Brother 16“? We know that it’s frustrating to many who want more excitement, but we are starting to see that he really may go the distance with this and become one of the best players in the history of the show. (This doesn’t mean, however, that he is anywhere near one of the best entertainers.)
The way that the game is looking for the next few days is simple: Derrick and Cody confirmed last night that they are voting out Frankie, which means that the biggest competition threat in the game is gone. They also claim that they were never really that loyal to him, anyway. (Derrick was, but mostly just for the sake of Team America.) Even though Frankie probably would take Derrick to the end, the latter may be worried about his odds against him.
From here, there is really only one challenge that they have to worry about: The Power of Veto at the final 4. If they can beat Caleb, they can turn him into Beast Mode Juror, and Derrick is finally in a situation where either Victoria or Cody could take him to the end with the final Head of Household. Maybe Cody would break his word and take Victoria over him because that’s guaranteed money, but that seems somewhat doubtful given the bond that the two have had to this point.
As for a brief programming note, the live feeds will probably go down at some point Monday, and the next eviction will be taped early. They will most likely remain down until Wednesday, after the next eviction show. Then, they will remain up until we get closer to the finale with the final three players remaining.
