‘Doctor Who’ season 8, episode 4 preview: Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, more ‘Listen’ buzz
Is the future looking bright for “Doctor Who“? It is certainly looking like it, at least based on some of the early buzz that we’re hearing about Saturday night’s “Listen.”
The first thing that we’ve heard about this episode in particular is that this is going to be scarier than anything else you’ve seen all season long. If your kids are frequent viewers, this may be the one week to tell them to stay away from the screen late at night, and watch it in the morning.
Just in the video below, you have something coming out from under the bed, and this may just be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to drama. We expect plenty of it throughout the hour, and then even a few surprises at the end. Based on early claims online, this may be the most important episode of the entire season so far, and also one of the best that you’ve seen in a while. With a name as simple as “Listen,” we have a feeling that Steven Moffat knows exactly what he is doing here.
Personally, we know that there is nothing we would enjoy more than seeing Moffat find some sort of redemption in here after so many routinely criticize him for his era of the show. We’re always down for someone proving naysayers wrong.
Even if you don’t love this episode, the good news is that there are so more episodes coming in the future that will hopefully be great.
