‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: Diggle news, and possible new additions to the Suicide Squad

We’re always happy to provide Diggle news for “Arrow,” mostly because it is often so few and far between these days. We do know that an early episode entitled “Corto Maltese” is going to be all about David Ramsey’s character, and it may also serve as a great way to figure out a little of where his head is at.

After all, this is a guy in a different position now that most of the other characters. He’s already been a hero in some ways for some time, and he has a child entering the world that he has to start to think about. (Oliver, meanwhile, doesn’t know that he has a kid out there.) Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Marc Guggenheim touched a little on what he expects some of the important conversation subjects to be:

“What’s Diggle’s identity? Is he his own man, is he just Oliver’s sidekick, is he a father, is he a husband? He used to be a solider, now he’s a part of Oliver’s crusade. Is he going to end up at A.R.G.U.S.? He’s got some very hard choices to make.”

There’s also some other important news here to be aware of: There may be some new additions to the Suicide Squad this year! This makes some sense given that Shrapnel is dead, and that we’re probably not going to see Harley Quinn thanks to everything else going on with the DC universe right now … despite however bad we’d like to have her on board.
