‘NCIS’ season 12 spoilers: ‘The Americans’ actor checks in, may also visit ‘New Orleans’

More news -How about the “NCIS” franchise for trying to use one of the same guest actors across multiple shows? They’re definitely trying to make this “New Orleans” series into something great, and we’ve got some further examples of that right now.

Per a report from Deadline, Lev Gorn, who spent the past two seasons on FX’s “The Americans,” is set to recur now on the flagship CBS series in the role of Russian Deputy Ambassador Anton Yelic. This is going to tie into the story that you have in the premiere, which involves an incident in the country. You will see this story play out, on and off, throughout the entire twelfth season.

As for how Gorn factors into all of this, it remains to be seen. We do at least know for the time being that there is potential for him to also pop up on the new “NCIS: New Orleans” series at some point, as well, as this new story is going to bleed over from one version of the show to the next. This is all obviously a smart attempt to convince viewers to check out both shows, which may otherwise be somewhat hard given that you are asking quite a bit of someone at this point to get them to watch three separate entries in the same franchise.

The new season of “NCIS” premieres on CBS come Tuesday, September 23, so hopefully we will have so much more in the way of news before then.
