ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7: See Stana Katic, Jon Huertas, Seamus Dever’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has already swept across most of the entertainment world, but there are still occasionally a few videos that find their way to us … including this very good one from most of the “Castle” cast.
In the video below, you can see the likes of Stana Katic (Beckett), Seamus Dever (Ryan), and Jon Huertas (Esposito) all take part in the challenge in support of charities looking to find the right cure or treatment options for this terrible disease. Specifically, they mention how the story of Anthony Carbajal (read about it here) particularly inspired all of them to take part.
From a production standpoint, this video is really well-done and pretty funny, given that it looks at first like Huertas is getting ready to set a prank on his co-star Katic before he realizes that he is the target of some ice water himself. Stana eventually does get doused, but we don’t want to say too much here in fear of spoiling it. All of this seems to have taken place on the lot for the show, which films out in the Los Angeles area. The show returns to ABC on Monday, September 29 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern.
In case you are wondering, Nathan FIllion actually did his own video for the cause a while ago, and you can see that video over here. If you are looking for a good charity to send money to, any from the ALS Association to Project ALS will make a fantastic use of your donation.

I have viewed this video more than once. To be honest I had started to think that the ALS videos were nothing more than a gimmick although I continued to respect the worthiness of the cause. These three showed us that some actors respected the cause or even knew why they had jumped on the well publicized bandwagon because that was ‘the thing to do’, the latest trend to garner attention. Not only is this video entertaining and delightful, these three showed us the ultimate in style and class by actually reminding us of the seriousness. How thoughtful to give us the link. I knew about Lou Gehrig disease. Now I know about the devastation of ALS. Thanks Stana, Jon and Semus. This was grade A, class act.
