ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7: See Nathan Fillion’s ALS ice bucket challenge

Did you really think that the ALS ice bucket challenge was going to make it past the epic man that is Nathan Fillion? You thought wrong! Elizabeth Banks recently challenged the “Castle” star, and he came through in the video below (via his WhoSay account).

One of the best parts about Fillion’s video is the surprise cameo at the end, but also the sheer reaction that he has to getting splashed with cold water. This sort of thing may not be as extreme as taking the polar bear plunge, but you probably feel the same sort of sharp pain.

Fillion’s just the latest TV star to jump on board the craze of the weekend, which is one of the best kinds out there since it also raises awareness for a great cause. Project ALS is just one of the many charities that you can donate to, as introduced to us by Matt Bomer’s own video for the challenge.

When “Castle” season 7 picks up airing, we are going to see what we could refer to as the big Beckett challenge: Trying to find out what in the world happened to Fillion’s Rick. As you can see in the show’s first promo, he is not in the car anymore … and the mystery can easily expand outward from there. Fillion, Stana Katic, and the rest of the cast are all still hard at work filming the series, which premieres on ABC Monday, September 29 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern.
