ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Mistresses’ alum scores super-secret role
In the midst of all of the other “Scandal” headlines as of late, which include Kerry Washington and more being present at the Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday, it was easy for one big of casting news to get lost in the cracks.
Luckily, we are here today to allow it to surface once more! Per a report from Entertainment Weekly, Matthew Del Negro (most recently of “Mistresses”) has joined the fourth season that is still, per the Shonda Rhimes tradition, being kept very secret. Why does this continue to happen? Think of it mostly as her really trying to live up to that “no spoilers” philosophy to the fullest.
In addition to this, there’s really another way to look at the secretive nature of Shonda and her story’s scripts. She is very aware of the fact that her story is almost like a house of cards, and we’re not talking about the one with Kevin Spacey. If one thing gets out, then the entire plot could fall apart and be leaked. Everything is so delicately arranged and for good reason.
One thing we do know is that season 2 is going to look to take a page more from the early seasons when it comes to giving you more of the stories of the week. Maybe some will be a little annoyed with this, but we’re all right with it since the show does need to catch its breath eventually after subjecting us to such an enormous dose of crazy over the past year or so.
