ABC’s ‘Resurrection’ season 2 spoilers: Will there be a larger scope of time covered?
“Resurrection” season 1 felt at first very much like a miniseries, and it also felt for the most part very much contained within a short period of time. We saw the story of Agent Bellamy’s arrival in Missouri, and then every little step along the way until we got to him trying to flee with Jacob in his arms.
So where does the next season go from here? Well, just know that there is going to be a lot of action crammed in once again, but also some larger, more ambitious themes. There’s no longer the same pressure to force everything into the same short period of time. Speaking to TVLine on the subject of what the producers have in store, creator Aaron Zelman had the following to say:
“In Season 1, so much happens so quickly – it was eight or nine days – so it was very reactive. Whereas Season 2 is a bit more, ‘OK, this is the new reality — now how do we live with this? What does it mean that people can come back? And what does it mean that people who came back can disappear?’ What does it mean for doctors like Maggie to treat people who are terminal knowing maybe they’re not terminal? It throws everything on its head. You’re going to see a lot more characters dealing with that new reality.”
Hopefully, this new season is going to live up to all of our expectations … even though we are looking at something completely different than the first time around, and also something longer.
