‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: Tension between Alex, Jo, and … Meredith?

At some point, you knew that there was going to be further relationship conflict between Alex and Jo on “Grey’s Anatomy.” This seems to be the case for basically every couple on every season of the ABC show.

However, what could make it somewhat-different this time around is how the source of their conflict comes from a very unlikely source: Meredith. According to E! News, Meredith and Alex are going to forge a deeper bond now that Cristina is gone, and  she needs someone new to talk to. The problem? Jo may not take potentially kindly to the relationship the two parties have.

Let’s be clear here when we say that we sincerely doubt that Meredith and Alex are going to be hooking up anytime soon. It just seems to out-of-character for them. However, the two have known each other forever, and have a really good rapport thanks to this. If Jo is jealous of that, it’s understandable. She has only known Alex a fraction of that time, and it’s inevitable that she would want him to open up to her in the same way that he does to Meredith. If this is a problem, then it’s probably one of the best real-world storylines that this show has done. After all, this sort of fighting happens all the time, and often for understandable reasons.

If nothing else, Alex should in the end that Jo cares enough about him to want the closest relationship to him possible. This will at least be a story worth watching.
