‘Big Brother UK’ season 15 ends with Helen Wood as winner, controversy
“Big Brother UK” is at an end, but it is pretty clear that not everyone in Britain is particularly happy with the results … heck, most just aren’t happy at all.
After some more shocking twists played out in the final weeks, Helen Wood was ultimately declared as the winner of the entire competition. She’s been accused of being a bully, a jerk, and a variety of other things that we cannot even repeat here on the site … but you now have to add “winner” to the list of titles. She defeated Ashleigh Coyle by the narrowest of margins tonight, and this allows her to at least wear the crown … but it doesn’t garner her support.
So how in the world did someone like this end up winning? We’ve already heard a wide myriad of conspiracy theories all about it, including her alleged past with Wayne Rooney or conspiracy theories about how Channel 5 wanted her to win. There is zero stake whatsoever in anyone staging her win. Some people out there clearly wanted drama, and they got it.
As for all of the people threatening to not watch the show anymore, everyone said the same thing about “Big Brother 15” in the United States last year when all of the racism was going on … and the ratings are still more than fine this summer, and the show routinely finishes as the most-watched program of the night. This anger and resentment will calm down as we get a little closer to a new season, and people forget somewhat about what happened on the show this summer.
