‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: The meaning of ‘The Magician’
Is another iconic DC character about to be coming onto “Arrow“? The title for the fourth episode of season 3 is certainly something that makes us hope … even if there is no confirmation of anything just yet.
According to a new post on Twitter from executive producer Marc Guggenheim, the episode is going to carry with it the title of “The Magician.” What could this possibly mean? The most logical guess here is that this is in some way tied into characters who we know already, and given that Guggenheim also tagged John Barrowman in his message, it’s likely that we will see a lot of Malcolm Merlyn in this hour.
With all of this being said … how about Zatanna? Her costume alone, let alone her powers, make her the perfect person to be the iconic magic-related DC heroine. Of course, there are also some other possibilities for characters in here. (This is just our personal dream.) Given that we already have Ray Palmer a.k.a. The Atom coming on board the show, and also Ra’s al Ghul serving as the Big Bad, it definitely would not surprise us in the slightest if the writers were to suddenly sit back and say that they have enough iconic characters on the show already that they don’t need to add any other ones to the mix.
The new season of “Arrow” premieres on Wednesday, October 8, and we’ll of course have some more scoop before that time.
Update: Guggenheim has already dashed our hopes of Zatanna, clarifying that this title is not a reference to her … but it would be “awesome” to have the character on the show.
