‘Big Brother 16’ live feed spoilers: The effects of Frankie Grande’s Ariana reveal
If you go back and watch the “Big Brother 16” live feeds starting at around 10:00 p.m. Big Brother Time, you can witness what had to be one of the more fascinating parts of this social experiment to day, chronicling what happens when contestants learn that one of their own is actually related to one of the biggest pop stars in America at the moment. Ariana Grande has millions of dollars, and Frankie can claim to open them up to that world.
Personally, we preferred Frankie in the house before the reveal, since we’re now hearing about how many more followers he hopes that he has, seeing choreographed Ariana dance moves, and constant reminders of how he is giving the money to charity if he wins. We understand that this is a noble gesture, but he’s using it as game strategy and we have to remember that while he’s in this house.
What we thought we would do for now is go through the other players in the house, and point out how they are all each individually handling this information.
Zach – By far, the most interesting. He’s still angry and bitter about Frankie saying personal things behind his back to other people, and really could care less about him being famous. He seems mostly upset that no one else can be fan favorite, and that the show will probably not ever make Frankie look bad. He’s the only person who isn’t currently making nice with him.
Derrick and Cody – They are basically one in the same. Cody was worried mostly about being a target, but neither care about him being famous. It hasn’t changed their desire to get him out of the game; as a matter of fact, they probably want it more since the money could change their lives.
Victoria – She claims to Derrick that it’s unfair the pull that Frankie’s fame will have, but at the same time she is a huge Ariana Grande fan. She’s wanted Frankie out since almost the beginning of the season … though the funny twist here is that if she’s a big fan of Ariana’s and has no idea who he is, isn’t that a dig in itself?
Nicole – She’s completely gone now. She feels terrible about nominating someone with “1.5 million followers,” and seems completely obsessed with not being hated. (Here is the thing: Frankie’s inflating his follower count by combining different accounts, even though some of these people are all probably the same.)
Donny – He doesn’t care. He was cracking jokes about being Kellie Pickler’s janitor after the fact.
Christine – It doesn’t really change much here, since she and Frankie were already sort-of working together. That will most likely continue.
We’ll see what happens later after the Power of Veto, but really we’re most interested right now in a Zankie sit-down conversation about all of this. We feel like Zach is hurt on a personal level over all of this, and that is something he’ll have to get over if he wants to do well in the game.
