‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: More on Elsa, Arendelle, and Storybrooke
Has there ever been a level of anticipation for a “Once Upon a Time” season that is anywhere near this one? We don’t believe so, but to be fair, we’re also not entirely sure that there has been this much pressure on one, either. “Frozen” is beloved right now. It’s basically to children’s moves with Black Friday is to shopaholics. You have to make sure you get this right, otherwise you’re going to deal with an angry mob of people.
Luckily, showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis have come up with a good way to really not mess around too much with the source material, and that is by setting the events of the show after what happened in the film. However, Kitsis claims that the show will flashback to events before the movie, where you can learn more about Elsa and Anna’s parents. That’s the biggest risk the show seems to be taking. (Just remember folks: Different canon than the movies.)
As for some other interesting scoop, Horowitz claims that one of the interesting elements of this experiment will be showing that like with almost everything else, there are unique connections not just between Elsa and some other characters, but also the different worlds:
“What happened to her to get her into that urn and what was going on in her life at that point is what’s going to be revealed and what’s going to be pushing the story forward … Hopefully you’ll find that there will be some cool surprising connections between Arendelle and our world.”
The magic officially begins on ABC come Sunday, September 28, and we’re going to be back soon with some further news and updates soon. For now, you can see what we’ve talked about lately at the link here, and be sure to sign up for some more good stuff on all we cover via our newsletter.

Frozen is a great movie for both kids and adults. I am happy that it is being incorporated into Once Upon a Time.
