‘Big Brother 16’ live feed spoilers: Derrick the puppetmaster … or the puppet?
This is turning out to be an interesting “Big Brother 16” week from a strategic perspective, even if we personally hate it thanks to what it will eventually represent. (Warning: Spoilers ahead!)
Yes, the idea of a house without Zach and his shenanigans depresses us greatly. What also depresses us somewhat is the idea of Christine getting zero credit for his ouster, which she is mostly responsible for. Nicole wanted to get rid of Frankie, but Christine didn’t since she feels like getting rid of Zach (who clearly is willing to put her on the block and wasn’t that interested in working with her) puts her closer to Frankie. Meanwhile, convincing Cody and in turn Derrick to vote him out secures the numbers, and further isolates Frankie. Christine hasn’t done a great job keeping Nicole close, but other than Hayden, we don’t feel like anyone is really going to directly target her in the second half of the double-eviction.
What Derrick has done tonight is go from being somewhat-puppeted to puppeting someone else in Frankie, trying to use the “Los Tres Amigos” alliance as a way to prove to him that Zach is trying to put wedge between the two. Basically, it’s more bashing complete with zero things that Zach actually said. It’s just a way of Derrick planting a seed to get rid of someone he really shouldn’t be getting rid of. With Zach gone, there is no longer a huge shield in front of the other Detonators other than Caleb, who really isn’t in the alliance in the first place and no one is that worried about as a strategic threat. Getting rid of a known number who would not betray you, while keeping someone not in your alliance, doesn’t seem like a good move. Yet, this is where we are this week. We love Derrick and we still feel like he’s one of the best players in the house, but this could be a move that comes back to bite him.
What do you think: Are Derrick and Cody making a mistake wanting to get rid of Zach, especially since he is technically on their side? I think that Derrick is making a huge mistake in wanting to get rid of Zach but this is the kind of move that needs to be made to shake up the house and make things more interesting.
