‘The Last Ship’ episode 8 preview: ‘Two Sailors Walk Into a Bar…’

Where does the story go next on “The Last Ship“? While it may sound like we are just introducing a really bad joke with the title for this article, the reality here is that we’re just sharing the title for the upcoming eighth episode of the season. there are only two that will be coming up after this one, so you better expect some pretty-crazy things are going to be coming around the bend from here.

Basically, Chandler and Tex are going to get themselves into a position that is so bad that they are basically incapacitated, and they need to rely on someone else in order to secure their safety. The problem that comes out of this is ultimately pretty simple, in that you really don’t want to have to rely on anyone in a situation like this. Just take a look at the official synopsis below for some more insight:

“Slattery assumes the role of commanding officer when Chandler and Tex get ensnared in a perilous situation. With the fate of the world at stake, Slattery must save the captain without losing the all-important vaccine prototype.”

This does sound thoroughly exciting, especially in a breakneck anything-can-happen world like this. If you were to equate this to a Michael Bay film (given that he is an executive producer), this is when the action starts to multiply in a million different directions (with a few added explosions to boot). Given that this is cable television, we may not see as much of the explosions as we would otherwise. Just expect a strong hour of entertaining TV.
