‘Bones’ season 10 spoilers: David Boreanaz directing 200th episode; other news
The “Bones” panel at Comic-Con this year was stuffed full of all sorts of tremendous goodies, but one of the biggest ones revolves yet again around David Boreanaz as a director: He’s stepping back into the chair for the 200th episode!
Before that happens, though, Booth’s got to find his way out of prison. We don’t think we’re spoiling much when we say that this happens (there wouldn’t be a show without it), but before then, there will be many problems that confront his wife out the outside. Just take a look at what Emily Deschanel had to say all about it at the panel Friday:
“She’s with her child, alone. It’s very worrisome for her, because Booth is not safe in prison. He’s a federal agent, [and] he’s put a lot of people in prison who don’t like him. Even the guards don’t like him.”
Booth will continue to suffer from PTSD when he is eventually released, and also the difficulty of knowing that the very thing that he once cherished in the sanctity of his job and the institution had been compromised. That will be a hard pill to swallow.
On a different note, executive producer Stephen Nathan said during the panel that the show will tribute Ralph Waite, but is not planning to “exploit” his passing in any way.
Fox also released a trailer for the new season of the show, which you can see below. There’s not a whole lot of new footage in here save for the final 30 seconds or so, but you will be very happy that you tuned in just for that alone.
