This ‘Arrow’ season 3 description may blow your mind (especially Oliver / Felicity fans)
The CW recently released their official synopsis for “Arrow” season 3, and we are currently still in the process of trying to digest it. Why? It sounds … awesome! Also, it’s basically everything that we could have wanted from the show and then some.
While the promise of new evil or the end of the Anti-Vigilante Task Force may be highlights of this to many people, there is a part of us going crazy over the thought of Oliver actually trying to admit to feelings for Felicity. Granted, that doesn’t mean that the two are going to be getting together just yet. Just take a look below:
“In the aftermath of this victory, Season 3 opens with Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling. Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Basking in his success, Oliver believes he can finally have a private life and asks Felicity out on a date. But the second Oliver takes his eye off the ball, a deadly villain reappears in Starling, forcing Oliver to realize that he can never be Oliver Queen — not as long as the city needs The Arrow.”
The fact that the word “reappears” is brought into play here, we have to assume that this is a reference to Malcolm Merlyn. We know that there will be more Vertigo passed around on the city streets again, but it’s not going to be by the same Count that we saw at times during the show’s first and second season.
With new evil also probably comes the end of Olicity, given that he is so desperate to not have her served up as bait to any and all villains. But still, we figure that he may as well risk it eventually. Everyone’s going to figure out that she is working with the Arrow, and that is just as dangerous as anything else.
