‘Big Brother 16’ houseguest spotlight: Can Brittany Martinez plan her way to victory?

Brittany -We’re sitting here today wondering how in the world Brittany Martinez got cast on “Big Brother 16.” Maybe she is shy or a little too self-aware in her CBS interview with Jeff, but she comes across as very rehearsed and not exactly exciting. She fills the role of “mom” that they like to have in the game, and maybe there is something that she brought to casting that we are not quite seeing.

Either way, let’s go ahead and dive into some of the things that Brittany could bring to the table, and also how far she could potentially go in the competition.

Name – Brittany Martinez

Age – 29

Location – Torrance, California (originally from nearby Long Beach)

Occupation – Event coordinator

Strengths – As a mom, we see her having at least a certain amount of determination and sympathy for those around her. She could be valuable to the house as someone who is not a slob, helps with general upkeep, and doesn’t really get in the way of anything. She also claims that her job has helped her get along with a variety of people.

Weaknesses – She claims that she is a “new fan,” which to us means that she was probably recruited somewhere and watched the past couple of seasons in sequester. We find that the winners of this game at least have some idea of what they want to do beforehand, even if they have to change it on the fly.  Also, we cannot see her being extremely cutthroat, or doing anything that will humiliate her too much on TV.

Past houseguest comparison – Definitely Elissa, and not just because she is a mom. Both seem to have a similar demeanor and attitude. We could also see a little Jenn City, mostly in the form that she could potentially disappear for weeks on end in the house.

Prediction – Brittany strikes us as the sort of person who’s going to get three or four weeks in, make a bad move or two, and then get sent home with the excuse of “you can go see your kids before jury.” We cannot see her making it past fourth place, mostly because she could have a compelling argument as a mom at the end of the game, and she’s not going to be athletic or skilled enough in the challenges to win her way to the final three or two.
