ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 spoilers: How Victoria moves forward

Victoria -Revenge” season 4 has been by and large the story of Emily Thorne, but over time we’ve started to learn a few assorted things about many of the other characters … with some of them being exceptionally problematic to our female lead.

For example, do you really think that Victoria Grayson is going to be locked up in an insane asylum for the rest of her days? This simply seems to be far too easy an end to an epic battle that has been going on since the first season. You can expect things to get far more complicated and difficult well before they ever get better, and the sleeping dragon is going to eventually awaken and start breathing fire.

In detailing what this future path for Madeleine Stowe’s character is going to be, executive producer Aaron Harberts suggested at the ATX Television Festival (per Variety) that in some ways, Victoria may have a chance to strike at Emily just when she starts to become vulnerable:

“She’s done terrible things, she’s obviously a very wounded and messed up character, but at the end of the day, when she manages to get out, she’s going to be setting her sights on Emily … That’s going to be quite a drive, because we did see how Victoria reacted when ‘Amanda Clarke’ was out in the world, and she was bad to her … but when she actually takes stock of all the horribly awful things Emily has done and all the chaos she’s rained down on the Grayson family, she’s gonna be pissed, and she’ll come out swinging. As Emily is trying to create a new, more positive life for herself, as she tries to move forward, Victoria is going to be coming up behind her.”

In a sense, Victoria may feel now like she has won. Victoria is locked away, she is going to find out about Conrad’s fate very soon, and she may be able to sit back to an extent and relax for the first time in a long time. Unfortunately for her, the “revenge” mentioned in the title may be in reference now to another character, and she could end up feeling what things are like when the tables are turned.
