‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11: Camilla Luddington’s Lara Croft gig confirmed

Jo -Camilla Luddington looks to be staying put on “Grey’s Anatomy” for season 11, but her confirmed schedule has just been made that much busier away from the show.

At E3 today it was confirmed that Luddington is returning to be the voice and the motion-capture face of Lara Croft for “Rise of the Tomb Raider,” the latest edition of the franchise. Camilla has also confirmed that she has started work on the project, which is pretty extensive when you consider all of the different movements and animations the developers need to capture. As someone who loves video games just as much as TV, we are always excited to see our two worlds merged like this. This game is still a ways away from release, though, so there will probably be a number of new updates released about it before it comes out.

We know that Luddington’s work on “Grey’s Anatomy” will continue a little later this summer, but even though this show has one of harder schedules out there out of anything on TV, it is certainly feasible that she can jump from one world to the other. We just imagine that for an actress, this must be a nice feeling: You have two gigs on very-popular franchises, and in many ways they could not be more different from each other. Jo is a doctor tasked with saving lives and also trying to make her relationship with Alex work, while Lara Croft is much more the action heroine and has her own goals and motivations she wants to achieve.
