‘The Good Wife’ season 6 spoilers: More on Peter, Alicia, and entanglements

We’ve already seen with “The Good Wife” that what we have between Peter and Alicia is something much more of convenience than anything built out of love. Being married to one another only assists them in their careers, and they can always find some sort of comfort romantically somewhere else.

With that, we turn to another interesting subject of conversation now: Whether or not the story is really going to do anything with what we saw with Peter and the intern near the end of season 5. While there may not be any real confirmation right now one way or the other, co-creator Robert King does want to make it very clear that anything is possible here when it comes to that. Speaking to TVLine, he weighs the possibility that this storyline or some other affairs could pop up in season 6:

“It all comes down to [actor] availability, but yes … How does that work? Can it work? Is it truly possible that you can have an agreement with your spouse that the sexual relationship is over and the love has to be put on hold, even though we’re going to use each other for what power we can give each other? Chris [Noth] and Jules [Margulies] seem very willing to take us there, so we’re up for it.”

We feel like one thing that has been under-reported on for a long time is the show doing such a great job when it comes to balancing out how much Noth appears on the show. His role has always been *extremely important, but he is also an extension of the universe that you see most of the time. It’s such a cool, different way to handle an important character than we typically see on network TV.
