There’s some difficult news coming out early this morning when it comes to Tracy Morgan, and a number of people who were traveling with him back to New York following a standup gig in Delaware.
Sources confirm that the “30 Rock” star and others are in critical condition following an apparent collision on the New Jersey Turnpike, when they were seemingly rear-ended while traveling in a limo bus by a tractor trailer. One passenger is reportedly already dead, and Tracy himself is in critical condition with his chances of survival unclear. This is obviously a very difficult situation, and thoughts and well-wishes have to go out to his family while they go through what has to be an extremely difficult time for them.
For right now, the hardest part of this entire situation is just the waiting, since his condition may not change at all today now that he is receiving treatment at a local hospital. We’ll just have to provide some further updates for more information, but his family is reportedly now with him per his rep.
Morgan is obviously one of the most well-known names now on the standup circuit, but he was also known for his tenure on “Saturday Night Live” along with multiple seasons of “30 Rock” alongside Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. He also is slated to have another show coming up starring himself on FXX early next year with some of the team from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” involved.
It’s always sad to see anyone involved in a crash like this, and there is little else that we can do other than to wish Morgan and everyone else well as they recover. Of course, we will update soon with some well-wishes and other news coming in from across the internet as many are waking up to hearing about this today.
