‘Longmire’ season 3, episode 2 preview: Where does the hunt go next?

Tonight’s episode of “Longmire” left many loose ends when it comes to suspected shootings, but it doesn’t seem like you will get a whole flurry of answers going into next week. Rather, the focus will instead be on some new worlds for the team to travel, and the other stories from the premiere will fold more into that. It’s the semi-serialized model that so many shows have come to adopt these days.

The title for this episode is “Of Children and Travelers,” and you can look at the synopsis below for a few assorted details on what is coming up in this hour:

An investigation into the murder of a Russian adoptee leads the team into a shady underworld; Henry faces trouble behind bars while Cady attempts to secure him competent legal representation.”

This certainly feels like it will be an interesting episode of the show, and set us up more on the course that we will be on the rest of the season. We expect this to be long and complicated, and we also expect to ask the same questions we’ve asked the past two seasons: When is Longmire going to get some sleep? The guy seriously spends most of his time looking exhausted and in desperate need of a pick-me-up. (Then again, it’s probably expected given some of the circumstances right now.)

At least there is the promise of a long season ahead, and a variety of different interesting things that we are going to see take place. For those who want some more comedy, be on the lookout for the one airing after next week. We’ll have more on it following 3×02.
