‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: Stephen Amell on potential for Amanda Waller story
What was remarkable about the “Arrow” finale earlier this month was that despite the multitude of stories that the show had to wrap up before the end credits, they actually did a good job giving you a sense of closure on most of them for now. As a matter of fact, the biggest cliffhanger out there revolved around Oliver arriving in Hong Kong after leaving the island, and meeting up for the first time with none other than Amanda Waller from ARGUS.
So how is this going to shape the story’s future? Of course, Stephen Amell is going to be careful for now with what he can and cannot say. However, he did explain to TVLine that whatever happens here, it’s probably not going to be good for Oliver:
“Oliver lost a lot of his humanity in those five years [away from Starling City], so as we see that continue to happen it in the flashbacks, we will see how much of his humanity he wants to get back in the present.”
“Arrow” is not one to hold on to some of its secrets forever, so we do expect this picture to be a little bit clearer early on in season 3. With that being said, however, we do expect Oliver to continue to hold on to many of his own secrets as long as he can. Thanks to the show’s point of view, the guy manages to keep a lot locked away from the audience that continues to surprise us. Prior to season 2, for example, we had the assumption that Sara Lance was really dead.
