‘Arrow’ season 2 finale: First promo of ‘The Flash’ to air during ‘The Unthinkable’

The Flash -So you now have one additional reason to watch the “Arrow” finale on Wednesday night live, especially if you love The Flash: The CW is planning to air the first-ever promo for the spin-off show during the episode.

There isn’t too much known yet about what this promo will contain, but the network does have enough footage of Grant Gustin as the character now to make this trailer happen. The pilot filmed earlier this spring, and it was almost a lock to be picked up from the moment that buzz first started to pick up for it.

We are insanely interested to see what The CW decides to do with this show, mostly because it is a much harder product to sell than something that is dark and gritty like “Arrow” is. “The Flash” is being set up to be a show that is fast-paced and feel much more like a traditional comic book; it’s hard to do anything otherwise when your character has a real superpower versus just being very good at firing arrows all over the place. (However, bosses have said that they are still going to ground Barry Allen’s powers somewhat to not just make this an entire world geared around superpowers.)

This series will likely air this fall, unless the network does something weird and puts it on at midseason. We should know more later this week, when the network officially wraps up its upfront presentation. For the time being, let’s just get excited! It’s not often that you get a chance to have another superhero show on the air.
